So that is the latest Champion League News and looking at the above groups I can see Arsenal winning Group H easily as we at soccer updates have watched Braga and S Donestsk and we can see Arsenal beating them with ease.

In Group F I can see Chelsea having no problems but soccer is a funny game so we will wait and see. Manchester United vs Rangers makes for two great all British ties with Manchester United looking to be the easy winners of that. Soccer Updates knows that the big teams like Chelsea and Manchester United would rather win the Premier League than the Community Shield but the big two always like to beat the other team and today soccer updates were impressed with this Manchester United team.

Valencia opened the scoring in the 41st minute and sent Manchester United in with a 1-0 lead at halftime. In the 76th minute Hernandez made it 2-0 to Manchester United and soccer updates are definately impressed with both Valencia and Hernandez.

In the 83rd minute Kalou made it 2-1 and soccer updates wondered if Chelsea could make it 2-2 until a stunning chip by Berbatov in the 90th minute made it 3-1 to Manchester United as the reds lifted the first Trophy of the season.

Well we at Soccer Updates were delighted with the irish football results yesterday and more than pleased with Glentoran winning 6-1 especially with Fordyce snatching 5 of them. If you are thinking Ballymena were lucky holding Linfield to a 0-0 draw you would be wrong as I watched the highlights and Ballymena played and look a good sold outfit who will do well in the Irish League this season.

Crusaders had an easy expected win against Donegal Celtic but fair play to Glenavon who had a great first day away win to Coleraine. So the first week of soccer is under way and trust me soccer updates will cover the Irish League every week and bring you both the irish football results and scorers.

So soccer updates are very happy that Manchester City have drawn Timisoara but Aston Villa have a really tough draw against Rapid Vienna who are a tough side to beat in Europe. Liverpool also should have no problem against Trabzonspor but who knows how Celtic will do against FC Utrecht as the hoops are so unpredictable but we shall be following all the British teams in the Europa League but tonight soccer updates will be celebrating Manchester City’s draw against Timisoara.
