Chelsea 1 vs Manchester United 3 ( Community Shield 2010)

Author: Soccer Updates knows that the big teams like Chelsea and Manchester United would rather win the Premier League than the Community Shield but the big two always like to beat the other team and today soccer updates were impressed with this Manchester United team.
Valencia opened the scoring in the 41st minute and sent Manchester United in with a 1-0 lead at halftime. In the 76th minute Hernandez made it 2-0 to Manchester United and soccer updates are definately impressed with both Valencia and Hernandez.
In the 83rd minute Kalou made it 2-1 and soccer updates wondered if Chelsea could make it 2-2 until a stunning chip by Berbatov in the 90th minute made it 3-1 to Manchester United as the reds lifted the first Trophy of the season.
Manchester United looked good today with great play from Valencia and Hernandez but we at soccer updates were impressed with the skill of Berbatov and if he plays the season like he played today we think we will see the best of Berbatov this year. Great performance by Manchester United.

Soccer Updates saw Celtic F.C not only beaten 3-0 but totally stuffed by Braga who are not exactly the biggest team in Portugal. But the worst thing about this Celtic performance for soccer updates was the fact that Celtic didn’t get one shot on target, a total disgrace.
In the Friendly matches soccer updates saw Rangers draw 0-0 so it looks like the two Glasgow clubs need to train their forwards better before the season starts. A match that interested soccer updates was the Nottingham Forest vs Lyon match as we fancy Lyon to do well this year and they hammered Forest 3-1 but it was also nice to see West Ham winning their friendly.

Poor Irish League club Cliftonville got hammered 3-0 in the Europa Cup but the good news for you Irish League fans is that soccer updates will be covering the Irish League on a weekly basis.
Nice to see Arsenal having a nice 4-0 win and it will be interesting to see if Arsenal will be challenging for the Premier League Title next season. Aston Villa also grabbed a 2-1 with Martin O’Neill saying that James Milner will be staying with Aston Villa and not going to Manchester City but we shall see.
